Calfo Eakes is pleased to announce that Harold Malkin has joined the firm as a partner. Harold Malkin is a nationally-recognized expert in the area of False Claims Act or "qui tam" litigation and an accomplished white collar criminal defense lawyer. Harold’s practice focuses on assisting clients with government investigations and enforcement proceedings and civil and commercial litigation. 

In addition to more than a decade in private practice, Harold spent twenty years of his career with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington in Seattle. Harold served the government as a trial attorney, a Deputy Chief of the Civil Division, and as the head of the Affirmative Civil Enforcement unit. Harold handled major investigations, civil litigation, and settlements of qui tam matters involving government contractors and program participants.

Harold graduated from Northwestern University School of Law and Hamilton College. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Joel Flaum on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
